i love Anime, i love manga, i've been watching it my whole life (only found out about manga in 6th grade i no so sad :() anyway how can i become a reg. Open Question: how can i become a manga author?
i feel like a complete nerd for asking this question i'm starting my senior year of high school and i've been trying to think of what i wanna do for a career i've been spending months trying to think of a career. i've been thinking long and hard to think of something i'd love to do. then it came to me ever since i was in 1st grade i loved making up stories i even have little journals full of stories i wrote when i was like age 7 threw 12 i always loved anime because of the deep plots and character developement and i think i'd love creating plots,characters,and episodes for a manga. the problem is i haven't been drawing since i was like in 6th grade so i suck at it, plus i think because i'm American i won't be able to create a manga that will get as much readers as a Japanese author. so my question is can i get a career in manga by just creating the plots,characters,ect. and if i wanted to learn how to draw manga how can i learn how to draw it like a JAPANESE manga and not that teen titan anime rip off style that American cartoonists try to do.

First of all, I love writing stories and especially drawing Manga. I'm twelve years old (I know, young ^_^), and I'm kind of lost on how to Publish Manga. Of course, I don't want to now, because I still needs lots more practice, but anyways... I don't want to Publish Manga in America, because the industry here is small, and not as big as in Japan. Also, I would like to release it in Japan and American. So, yeah, I wanted Publish a Manga in Japan...but that's when I'm lost.. Am I even aloud to, like if I move there? See, I want to, but then I don't to because Japan isn't like indenpent(more freedom I would think) like America, and is very different from America in political stances and law stances. I know I would have to obey the laws in Japan..I heard they eat dogs (which I would never do ^_^) and many things like that..My mom would never let me, but I want to because I want to further my "future" career and Publish a Manga there.. I'm aware I'll have to learn more about Japan, how they live, and such..Also, I know I have to learn their Laungauge and be able to speak it, too, which is good because I've always wanted to learn it and I'm interested in it. I know I'm young, it's just I need help with things and I want to be knowledgable on what I want to be and how to get there.. So what do you need to do as like, how do I get to Japan? Publish Manga there? College? Etc if you know what I mean.. Thank You Very Much. ^_^

It will include: *How not to draw manga. *Character design tips. *All contributors (students, people with questions & tips) will be chibified & guest star in the mini comics. *Contributers will get their "before & after" art in the book, get to do their own mini comic, & get their website or DeviantArt page listed. If you have a Deviant Art page or website, please post links to some of your art. If I like your stuff & you're willing to contribute, you can have your own chapters. Voting Question: Amerime Hatred. How NOT to draw manga. ?
I'm an art student & I'm thinking of making a free online book about how NOT to draw manga/anime, because many people have shown an interest in learning to avoid making characters that look like Avatar, Totaly Spies, & Marvel Mangaverse, etc. Problem is, someone's already used the title, & according to reviews, the book missed the point entirely. So what is another good name I can use for a book about how not to draw Amerime style manga? Also, if you were to read it, what kind of content would you like to see in it? Should I include spoofs of existing Amerime? Use good & bad comparisons? Anime/manga character designs that should & shouldn't be imitated? Amerime is the official term, but Comiga does sound cute. MJR has a good one to add; like how using amerime style can damage sales because it has a taboo reputation with hardcore otaku & American comic book readers. A good exaple would be the easily forgotten Marvel Mangaverse & the animated spin-off of you Can't Do That on Television.

He has blond hair, brown eyes and he is cute, smart and funny. I sit next to him/close to him in most classes and he always watches me draw (manga), comments and helps me out. He always jokes around and always wants to make me laugh. He smiles at me a lot, and the other day when we were joking about something, he was imitating something and he hugged me. I don?t know if he was joking? he seemed quite happy? I know I like him. I don?t know if he likes me, because some boys have pretended to like me before, so I?m a little paranoid? I?m too embarrassed to admit this to my friends. I always think that I?m too ugly for him etc. It?s confusing, because if I?m right, he flirts with me? a lot. Help, what should I do?
